Job Title: Administrative Director
Essential Duties:
The Administrative Director is directly accountable to the Board of Elders for the execution of all church programs and the coordination of such programs through the directors, staff, associates, and other ministry coordinators.
The Administrative Director must be able to see the church's vision while accomplishing the daily business details and supporting the organizational vision.
The Administrative Director will oversee our church's operation and lead and direct our staff.
The Administrative Director will set goals for the staff to accomplish the church's mission, vision, and the strategies.
The Administrative Director will support, coach, and assess staff, implement processes to optimize operational capabilities, strive to expand and unify the church, and manage resources effectively.
The Administrative Director will guide the Directors and ministry teams in fulfilling their specific goals and objectives.
The Administrative Director has the authority to put steps in place to ensure the completion of assigned tasks, including corrective measures (verbal warning, written warning, etc.), developing an improvement plan, and possible removal from position (written recommendation to the Board of Elders for final approval). All communications (verbal and or written) addressing concerns with work performance must be documented in Bamboo HR within 24 hours.
The Administrative Director will ensure a church culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
To ensure success, the Administrative Director will need to perform a wide range of duties that reflect their spiritual condition and beliefs by attending Sunday Worship Services, participating in Sunday School classes, Discipleship classes and Running With Pastor on a consistent basis.
The ideal Administrative Director will be a capable, spiritually mature, and highly organized leader.
The Administrative Director will submit a monthly written report to the Board of Elders, including the status of responsibilities summarizing the current progress (data report) of the church's activities.
The Board of Elders may request an impromptu meeting with the Administrative Director at their discretion.
The Board of Elders has the authority to put steps in place to ensure the Administrative Director completes the assigned tasks, including corrective measures (verbal warning, written warning, etc.), developing an improvement plan, and possible removal from the position.
Requirements:
- Evident relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Proficient with ShelbyNext, MS Office Suites, Smartsheet, and social media.

Accountabilities:
- Administer church operations.
- Collaborate with the Board of Elders regarding ministry administration and implementing the church's mission, vision, and strategies.
- Review, create, and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective operation of the church.
- Guide and improve interactions between the Elders, Senior Pastor, Pastors, Deacons, Deaconesses, and other staff members.
- Oversee human resources operations and collaborate with the Board of Elders to hire, reposition, transition, and dismiss staff.
- Lead, oversee work, and have regular meetings with the entire church staff.
- Create an annual budget.
- Oversee financial, budget, and fundraising operations.
- Assist staff in managing ministry budgets.
- Assist the Chief Administrator, Church Administrator, and Human Resources in administering salary and benefits programs for the staff and conducting regular performance reviews and documenting in Bamboo HR.
- Maintain an inventory of church property and equipment.
- Coordinate all planning, administration, and scheduling of church programs, activities, meetings, and special events. This includes supervision and maintenance of the church calendar of events and any reconciliation of program conflicts that may develop on staff or organizational levels.
- Manage social media accounts and other communications for the church.
- Provide oversight and direction in developing new ministry opportunities discovered in the church and community.
- Guide the formulation and development of ministry area program statements, including:
- Purpose – rationale for plans as they relate to the church's mission.
- Develop S.M.A.R.T. Goals
- Formulate Objectives
- Utilize Smartsheet
Personal Responsibilities:
- Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed bible study, prayer, and meditation.
- Maintain proper priorities in your home and be a spiritual leader to your spouse and children if married.
- Develop personal evangelism opportunities, both within and outside the church.
- If a member of ONEMOVEMENT Bible Church, you are expected to financially support the works of the ministries by faithfully giving at least 10% of your gross income. If not a member, consider financially supporting the works of the church.
- Maintain wise stewardship measures over the remaining 90% of your income.
