Area Forester
Biewer Forest Management South, Inc. located at Biewer Sawmill
in Newton, MS is looking to add a Full-Time Area Forester to our
team in Newton, MS! The Area Forester will provide support to the
Newton and Winona, MS sawmills. Candidates should have
experience in forestry and a willingness to work outdoors in all
weather conditions. All job duties must be performed safely.

Accountabilities:
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting an inventory of standing timber.
- Supporting MS territories for forestry sales.
- Flagging timber sales/property lines.
- Logging supervision.
- Perform log quality inspections.
- Assist area foresters and Procurement Manager.
- Working knowledge of forest management and related.
- Timber cruising, property line identification, and timber
marking.
Qualifications:
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- B.S. in Forestry is preferred.
- 3 years of forestry experience.
- Must be proficient with Excel, Word, and mapping software.
- A great deal of bending/walking in uneven/thick terrain in
adverse conditions.
- Work environment combined with in-office and out-of-
office environments.
- Ability to work independently.
