Email Marketing and Communications Coordinator – Big Agnes, Inc
Position Type: Non-Exempt/Hourly Reports to: Director of Marketing

Summary/Objective:
This position requires a skilled professional primarily responsible for planning, implementing, and managing email and SMS
marketing campaigns, and all promotional communication with our customer list to help drive awareness, engagement, site
traffic, and revenue to support marketing and sales goals. This requires strategic customer relationship management (CRM) to
gain insight into customer behavior for tracking, segmenting audiences, and reporting data to effectively advance the
customers’ journey and experience with Big Agnes. This role requires creative, collaborative, and fun thinking, big ideas, and
focused, strategic execution of them. A love for outside recreation is required.
Email Marketing:
- Based on goals, inventory, and direction from the Ecomm Marketing and Sales Specialist, create and strategize email
contacts, autoflow triggers/functionality, A/B testing, importing email acquisitions and managing contact growth
through web pop-up program across mobile and desktop platforms.
- In addition to email, this role will assist the Marketing team in setting the strategic roadmap for launching and
program off the ground.
- Collaborate within and across departments to deliver targeted brand story, content, and product push messaging
- Responsible for campaign operations and execution including copy development (aligned with keyword research
- Report on KPI metrics including performance and engagement metrics and share actionable insights and
- Coordinate sending of monthly dealer newsletter and other communications on behalf of the dealer service team.
- Send internal company-wide weekly email updates with marketing info, social media posts, and PR highlights
- Leverage customer and published media reviews for quotes on product emails to promote user generated experience
- Manage email platform workflows and automations and work with operations team to ensure connectivity and
- Work with graphics team to maintain consistent design templates, optimized for mobile viewing.
- Ability and willingness to write blog posts as needed – an ideal person in this role will not shy away from writing
Communications and CRM:
- Manages and coordinates mailing lists for printed collateral such as annual catalog, drop-in postcards, and mailings.
- Edit/proofread all consumer facing materials for product accuracy and grammar.
- Responsible for the health, growth, and use of customer database in email, SMS and direct mail and other marketing
Events, Tradeshows, Photo/Video Shoots
- Attend and participate as needed in events, tradeshows, and photo/video shoots as needed.
- Assists other staff members as needed with gear organization, cleaning, packing, unloading of trailers, etc. after events.
- Manages onsite & event acquisition strategy, technology/software and execution whether attending or not.

Required Education and Experience:
- Prior work experience as a marketer of outdoor equipment, hard goods and/or apparel. Extensive knowledge of
- 2 years’ experience in email or digital marketing
- Knowledge of SEO/SEM and Google Analytics, Klayvio, Shopify, and Netsuite a plus
- Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
- An ability to work under tight deadlines.
- College degree in marketing or equivalent work experience in marketing, sales, public relations.
- Proven organizational skills with the clear ability to multi-task.
- Strong verbal and written skills to assist with cross-departmental work.
- Creative and motivated individual with the desire to grow within the team and company.
Work Environment
- Vision, hearing, speech, manual and physical dexterity sufficient to set up tradeshow booths.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- The ability to travel domestically and work long days and some weekends.
- This position is currently not approved for remote work and will be located at our headquarters in Steamboat Springs,
Colorado.
