Position Summary:
Established custom crush winery located in South Napa seeks an experienced hands-on Facilities Maintenance Manager to join our positive, small company culture and help the winery run smoothly by operating and maintaining facility systems and equipment.
Reports To: Director of Winemaking and Production
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for winery systems and equipment including water (supply and wastewater), compressed air, boilers, chillers, tank controllers, HVAC, fans, lighting, solar panels, pumps, buildings, landscaping, and housekeeping
· Communicates with vendors to coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs of mechanical systems.
· Actively conduct equipment diagnosis and repair (mechanical and electrical).
· Complete daily and weekly checks of all systems and equipment
· Communicates regularly with the production team concerning the status of equipment and facility systems
· Maintains routine maintenance records for the replacement of filters, disposables, etc.
· Manage and maintain compressed gas tanks
· Assess and develop a plan for all equipment performance issues and repairs
· Solicit bids from vendors, identify savings opportunities, and review service invoices
· Identify opportunities to decrease spending for equipment repair and maintenance
· Work with the team to ensure that projects are completed successfully and timely
· Promote teamwork and support a healthy, professional environment for all winery personnel
· Other assignments and duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
· 5 years of facilities maintenance and winery system management experience in a medium or large winery
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency.
· Takes initiative and shows commitment to the organization
· Solid organizational skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
· Spanish speaking skills a plus
· Excellent team building skills
· Excellent customer service skills
· Computer skills including MS365 and Bill.com.
Physical Demands
The physical demands of this position include talking, hearing, using hands or fingers, and occasionally standing, walking, sitting, and reaching. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Compensation and Benefits:
· $85,000 to $100,000 annually DOE
