Job Summary: Bingham & Taylor is seeking a skilled Machine Operator/ Band Saw to join our team at the Fredericksburg plant on Jamison Lane. The successful candidate will be responsible for using appropriate equipment to safely cut plastic parts to specifications. These duties are to be performed within safety, quality, and production standards. Fluency in English is required for this position, as effective communication is essential for successful job performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine setup procedures according to specifications.
- Maintain an inventory of materials.
- Measure and cut pipe to length and check for conformance to specifications; adjust process as necessary to alter products.
- When products vary from specifications inform supervisor for appropriate action.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and make minor adjustments to equipment.
- Move or lift heavy objects.
- Maintain 5S in work area and department.
- The responsibilities outlined are not exhaustive; associates may be reassigned to additional duties at the discretion of leadership.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous manufacturing, warehousing or industrial experience preferred.
- Demonstrated stable work history preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail oriented and committed to quality and safety.
Physical Requirements: This position may require frequent bending, lifting, and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Employees should be able to perform this duty with or without reasonable accommodations.
