Job Description :
The Quality Technician performs measurement, testing, and visual inspection of various molded components, extruded tubes, medical device assemblies, and materials for development and validation activities. The Quality Technician must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Must-have experience in a Cleanroom.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience working with medical devices, preferably in a quality position.
- Prefer experience with a Smart Scope Vision System (OGP), CMM, running routines and creating routines, and experience designing fixtures. (Software Calypso & Measure Mind)
- Must be able to read and write English clearly and legibly and possess basic math skills.
- Must have the ability to understand and read from engineering drawings.
- Must be able to use numerous measurement devices to inspect parts e.g., calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, etc.Perform dimensional measurements by part drawings using hand-held equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, rulers, etc.
- Perform general quality inspection and monitor manufacturing inspection of in-process and finished products per Biomerics documentation.
- Perform quality testing and monitor manufacturing testing of in-process and finished product per documentation.
- Communicate and coordinate with manufacturing and engineering in defect identification and detection methods.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and other qualified personnel to identify and solve customer complaints and internal non-conformances and provide corrective actions.
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities related to the product, service, process, and quality system.
- Identify and record any problems related to the product, service, process, or quality systems. Recommend, initiate, and verify the implementation of solutions to problems through designated channels.
- Control further processing, delivery, or installation of any non-conforming product or services until the unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
- Perform all work with Biomerics quality system documentation and quality records conformance.
