What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Bird and Pet Clinic of Roseville?
The Bird & Pet Clinic of Roseville is seeking an experienced client care team member. We are absolutely passionate about animal care, and candidates for the position must be extremely comfortable working with the public in a customer service setting and comfortable interacting directly with pets. The work we do is exciting, challenging and extremely rewarding.
The position requires professionalism, a strong work ethic, and the ability to multi-task. While this position does not have clinical duties, our client care team works closely with veterinarians, our technical support team, and management. Basic responsibilities include:
· Customer service functions, including but not limited to greeting visitors and answering telephones.
· Scheduling and confirming appointments.
· Guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
· Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
· Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
· Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, and flea & tick control).
· Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
· Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
