REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position reports directly to the Director of Career, Advising, and Counseling Services.
Position Description & Details
This position is responsible for contributing to the daily operations within the Mystic Advising and Counseling Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with organizing career fairs and other similar events.
- Provides quality customer service to students and business representatives.
- Maintains confidentiality of clients, schedules, and other private and identifying information.
- Assists with receiving and responding to written, personal, and telephone inquiries.
- Assists with administering job networking software.
- Assists with scheduling appointments for advising and counseling clients.
- Provides relevant and accurate information to students, faculty, and staff regarding CampusConnection processes.
- Supports innovation, creativity, and ideas to improve/enhance prosses, functions, etc. within the department and for the college.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Current Bismarck State College student
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Excellent computer software skills - Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Access), email and electronic calendar
- Excellent keyboarding skills
- Ability to adapt in a changing environment
- Proven interpersonal skills (ability to work well with a variety of people)
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to pay attention to detail and demonstrate accuracy
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently and with a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Office experience
- Experience in and understanding of CampusConnection software
