What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Estimator position at Bitflow Innovative Group Inc?
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Thoroughly review all project documentation to develop a comprehensive understanding of project requirements and scope.
- Collaborate with the pre-construction team on procurement processes, including providing quantity take-offs, participating in scope review meetings, and supporting the issuance of contracts and purchase orders.
- Attend site visits as necessary for pre-bid meetings.
- Prepare and manage construction budgets by reviewing project plans, specifications, and incorporating updates or changes.
- Solicit bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating competitive pricing.
- Evaluate and standardize bid submissions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Resolve any discrepancies in cost estimates and bids.
- Analyze and assess subcontractor and vendor proposals for suitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Foster and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
Required Experience:
- Prior experience in a related role with a commercial General Contractor (GC) or Construction Manager (CM) is essential.
