Job Summary:
The Stewarding Manager at Black Desert Resort is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the stewarding team, ensuring that all kitchen and banquet cleaning, sanitation, and organization tasks are performed efficiently and to the highest standards. Reporting to the Executive Steward or Director of Food & Beverage, this position supervises stewarding staff, manages inventory of cleaning supplies, and ensures compliance with sanitation and safety regulations. The Stewarding Manager works closely with culinary and banquet teams to support seamless operations and maintain a clean and well-organized kitchen environment.

Pay Rate: $58,000 - $64,000/yr. This is the pay rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

- Work closely with the culinary and banquet teams to ensure seamless event and restaurant service support.
- Monitor dishwashing operations, maintaining efficiency and adherence to quality control standards.
- Ensure kitchen waste management and recycling procedures are followed according to resort guidelines.
- Assist with scheduling, labor cost management, and performance evaluations for stewarding staff.
- Inspect kitchen equipment, dishwashers, and sanitation tools to ensure proper functioning and maintenance.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings, communicating expectations and updates to stewarding staff.
- Support the Executive Steward in long-term planning and process improvements to enhance efficiency and organization.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in stewarding, kitchen operations, or food & beverage management, preferably in a luxury resort or fine dining environment.
- Previous supervisory experience in stewarding or hospitality preferred.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen sanitation, cleaning procedures, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse stewarding team.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Familiarity with inventory management, kitchen equipment maintenance, and waste reduction strategies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on resort operations.
- ServSafe or HACCP certification preferred.
