ReStore is currently hiring a Dock Manager at our Rapid City location. As a Dock Manager, your work in receiving, shipping, inventory, as well as training and overseeing store associates will be instrumental in furthering our mission.
Some of the key responsibilities for this position will be:
- Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers
- Coordinate daily dock operations (receiving, shipping, pick-ups and deliveries, merchandise preparation)
- Coordinate volunteer activities for designated areas
- Receive and review new donated inventory
- Supervise and support dock associates
- Train new store associates in procedures and processes
- Address customer complaints
- Collect, organize and report on data
- Champion and enforce safety standards on the dock
- Regularly audit store to assure quality and cleanliness standards are met
Appropriate candidates will have:
- 2 years of applicable experience (dock, shipping, receiving)
- A demonstrated history of excellent customer service
- A work history demonstrating prior successful experience as a supervisor
- Experience, skills, and knowledge at least equivalent to those gained through a high school diploma
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- The ability to communicate in writing and verbally, with staff and customers who primarily speak English
- The ability to ambulate through the store, and the warehouse, frequently bending or stretching, throughout most of the day
- The ability to frequently lift 55 pounds regularly and up to 150 lbs. for short periods
- Willingness to get certified in forklift operations
- Work with volunteers as needed
The environmental conditions this position will work in include:
- A retail store setting, with frequent noises and talking
- A warehouse and outdoor display area where direct sunlight, widely varying temperatures, and possible loud noises may occur
- A working cat is present within the store on a regular basis

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
