Description and Qualifications
The HR Intern position is a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in general Human Resource competencies, recruiting, onboarding, and other administrative responsibilities in the HR Office. This position will primarily focus on administration and onboarding but will also have additional opportunities to participate in and gain knowledge from other HR processes and functions that support our People-Focused value.
This is a paid internship. Season: May - August
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists with daily maintenance of the team member database and the Applicant Tracking System (Paycom).
- Assist with staffing as needed, including job fairs.
- Assist with onboarding and administrative paperwork for newly hired team members.
- Prepare orientation material and assist with the new hire administrative processes.
- Must be able to work in coordination with the HR Coordinator and the larger HR team.
- Assist with the administration of our internal recognition program.
- Assist with scheduling Team Member property benefits.
- Administer uniform as requested and assist with inventory.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding Team Member information.
- Assists with any administrative processes in the HR Department, as needed.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
Regular and consistent onsite attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this position.
Must work well with other Team Members and Managers and interact with our guests.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School degree or equivalent preferred
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Must demonstrate an understanding and need for confidentiality
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Basic knowledge and understanding of math
REASONING ABILITY
- Must be able to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to sit at a computer for prolonged periods
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- General Office
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
