What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lodging Manager position at Blackberry Mountain?
The Lodging Manager will work directly with our Private Owner team and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Private Owner Homes. The departments include Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Grounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manages daily operations to comply with contracted services of Housekeeping, Grounds and Maintenance for all private owner homes
- Demonstrates exceptional communication skills to work directly with Owners as well as other Operational Departments
- Hires, trains and leads teams
- Ensures compliance with established company policies & procedures
- Demonstrates leadership & a professional image to Team Members, Vendors & Guests
- Implements a hands-on approach to effectively manage the quality of daily operations
- Achieves property operational objectives by contributing property information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
- Prepares and completes action plans and ensures thorough compliance with contracted services
- Implements production, productivity, quality, and problem-solving
- Meets property financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.
Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees the daily operations of the Private Owner Housekeeping, Grounds and Maintenance teams
- Responsible for the training, development and performance of all team members
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- 4-year college degree or equivalent experience required
- 3-5 years Hospitality experience required
- Experience with hotel Housekeeping Operations, Grounds Management and Maintenance Management preferred
- Computer skills in MS Office
- Valid Drivers License required
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Must have excellent verbal & written skills
- Must be able to interact with guests and team members
MATHEMATICAL ABILITY
- Basic math skills
- Understand general accounting
- Budgeting experience

- Will be required to work in all weather conditions
