Position Summary:
The Evaluation Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing evaluation projects, collaborating closely with the Senior Evaluation Manager and Assistant Director of Evaluation while also managing certain projects independently. Client communication, data collection, analysis, and report generation are central to this position. They lead the development of evaluation instruments, administer surveys, conduct interviews and focus groups, and manage project databases. Additionally, the Evaluation Manager contributes to evaluation plan development, conducts literature reviews, and participates in presentations. Incumbents may also provide supervision and guidance to Evaluation Analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Lead evaluation projects in collaboration with the Senior Evaluation Manager or Assistant Director of Evaluation, and independently manage designated projects.
- Independently manage the day-to-day activities of the projects they are leading.
- Effectively communicate with clients, including leading client calls, providing updates, and attending meetings as necessary.
- Monitor and ensure timely completion of project tasks, and review project invoices and budget modifications.
- Generate and raise invoices as needed for projects assigned and provide information for project budget modifications when needed.
Data Collection, Management, and Analysis
- Develop comprehensive evaluation instruments, including surveys, interview protocols, assessment rubrics, and more.
- Conduct testing of surveys, facilitate focus groups and interviews, and employ diverse data collection methods.
- Establish and maintain project databases, overseeing data cleaning and analysis processes.
- Supervise the cleaning and analyzing of quantitative and qualitative data.
Reporting
- Create outlines for project reports and develop reports in formats tailored to meet clients' needs.
- Review data visualizations and provide feedback, ensuring clarity and relevance.
- Oversee analysis conducted by Evaluation Analysts and contribute to narrative development for project reports.
- Participate in formal and informal presentations at project meetings, board meetings, conferences, and more.
Evaluation Design
- Contribute to the development of evaluation plans, logic models, and methodological frameworks.
- Conduct literature reviews to inform evaluation design and methodology selection.
Team Management and Leadership
- Provide supervision and mentorship to Evaluation Analysts, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Maintain transparent communication within the project team and with external stakeholders regarding project priorities and progress.
Other
- Support business development efforts, contributing to proposal development and client relationship management.
- Undertake additional evaluation and research-related duties as required.
- Occasional travel to client sites may be necessary based on project agreements.
- Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance personal, team, and organizational growth.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position is Remote.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
