What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Specialist position at Bland Landscaping Company?
The Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day administration of specific accounting functions and administrative duties for the company. The position reports directly to the company's Office Manager. The position must report to work at 8:00 a.m. daily unless otherwise agreed to by the supervisor.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Compile, process and analyze payroll data to maintain accurate payroll records
- Produce and reconcile federal, state and local tax payments
- Proper matching of purchasing and receiving documents
- Processing invoices with correct distribution to general ledger expense accounts
- Timely and accurate payments that make full use of available discounts
- Proper filing and storage of records
- Compile and verify paperwork to prepare complete subcontractor packages
- Oversee and manage office inventory supplies
- Perform administrative duties
- Work with management on special projects
Required Skills
- Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Windows 7
- Must have substantial knowledge of MS Dynamics or equivalent software
- Must have good communications skills
- Must maintain a professional image at all times
- Must adhere to all company policies
Required Experience
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have a minimum of two years of payroll accounting experience
