Social Media Volunteer
OVERVIEW
The social media volunteer plays a key role in maximizing our community engagement online. This position will be joining a public relations & communications team with years of in-depth experience engaging with our donor audience online. Your job will be to help us maintain daily dialogue with supporters on our various social media platforms, and to create dynamic content to contribute to our online presence. You will play an integral role in the public perception of the BlinkNow brand. This is a great opportunity to share your skillset to support BlinkNow’s mission. Duties may be adapted to your particular expertise.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES MAY VARY AND COULD INCLUDE:
- Creating original content and curating shared content from others that follows the look and feel of the BlinkNow brand.
- Creating videos and reels.
- Researching social media trends and pitching story ideas to the rest of the team.
- Ensuring that all comments and mentions on the BlinkNow social media platform receive timely responses, following organization guidelines.
- Managing our database of photos, articles, blog posts, and other media.
- Generally supporting our Communications team as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fluency in English
- Strong written communication skills
- Proficiency with one or more key social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn
- Graphic design experience a plus
- Video/reel creation experience a plus
