Small Engine Mechanic

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive and rental equipment repair and maintenance, with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance on rental equipment, small engines, and snow equipment, such as plows, snow blowers, and salters
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and provide accurate repair estimates
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex problems
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Keep detailed records of all repairs and services performed

Requirements:
- Must have own basic tools

- Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

- Proven experience as a mechanic or similar role
- Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship program is preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive and small engine systems and components
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as scanners and ohmmeters
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy parts and equipment

Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with electrical systems diagnostics using an ohmmeter

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour Based on experienced.
