Candidate will lead design and plan production teams to successfully deliver highway projects. Candidates should have experience working on highway projects in Minneapolis, ideally for MnDOT. MicroStation and GeoPak knowledge are ideal.
Responsibilities Include:
- Leading a team of engineers and drafters
- Lead highway design projects with deadlines and client needs
- Understand MnDOT and highway design standards and guidelines as needed
- Interacting and communicating effectively with team members, clients, and other agencies
- Coordinating with subconsultants
- Directing and training staff on project engineering (roadway geometrics, corridor models, staging)
- Preparing project design and environmental reports
- Assisting with the preparation of proposals and contracts
- Managing project financials
- Participating in quality control/quality assurance
- Developing Client Relationships
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- PE license required (Minneapolis), or ability to obtain in 6 months
- 10 years of progressive experience in highway design. (MnDOT experience preferred)
- Familiarity with Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) design engineering practices, standards, and documentation
- Experience with MicroStation and GeoPak
- Ability to collaborate with the design team, clients, and agencies
- Good decision-making skills, flexibility, focus on quality, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
