Description
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for the day to day Production operations to include planning production schedules. Collaborates in the development and implementation of organization policies, practices, procedures, and attainment of production goals. Gives work direction, resolves problems, prepares schedules, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work. Ensures production activities adhere to all quality objections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains safe and clean work environment
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations
- Maintains staff by orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities
- Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
- Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Education:
- Communicate fluently in English (Spanish is a plus)
- Strong computer MS office, interpersonal, and organizational skills,
- Has extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks
- Works well in fast pace environment
- Knowledge of food plant manufacturing systems
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and able to multi-task and prioritize
- Able to pass a drug and background test
Work Environment and Physical Demand:
- Requires physical effort. Occasionally lifts or moves objects (under 70 lbs.).
- Walks, sits, or stands for prolonged periods.
- Requires prolonged machine operation including computer and keyboard equipment.
