Veterinary Receptionist- Part time

Blue Cross Pet Hospital is a well established, privately owned general practice hospital located in Carmichael, CA. We are looking to grow our team with a receptionist who is passionate about client and patient care. A minimum of 6 months Veterinary experience required. This is a part time position to start and requires availability Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Please do not apply if you cannot work these days.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the veterinary clinic's calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from clients
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Process payments and handle financial transactions
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving issues

Experience:
- Previous experience working as a veterinary receptionist is required
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with animal care and husbandry practices
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and veterinarians
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping and scheduling
- Proficiency in using computer systems for appointment scheduling, data entry, and record management
