What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cosmetic Patient Coordinator position at Blue Illusion Facial Plastic Surgery?
JOB SUMMARY: A cosmetic coordinator is dedicated to the patients who will work closely with the medical staff to manage many aspects of patient care, pre-surgery, in office, and post surgery. This person often plays a sales and marketing role, offering additional surgery to new or existing patients. Compensation may be tied to sales goals. Excellent customer service skills are highly valued as is a professional and polished physical presence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer and screen inbound phone calls
- Actively promote the clinic, treatments, services, products, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available
- Triage patients in a timely manner
- Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by patients, ensuring complete patient satisfaction
- Establish relationships with each prospective patient and serve as the point person for all appointments associated with the patient
- Efficiently provide basic office administrative support tasks including but not limited to mailing, faxing, sorting, typing and filing
- Maintain a professional and clean work environment & appearance
- Maintain complete confidentiality in all patient matters in accordance with company policy
- Promote patient confidence in the surgical/non-surgical experience
- Liaison between the patient and the surgeon, ongoing contact and communication
- Arrange all aspects of patient surgery – scheduling, pre-op labs/clearance, post-op care, answering patient questions and concerns, follow up care utilizing the EPIC system
- Review recommendations, treatment plans and make arrangements for the patient
- Collect, record, communicate and facilitate surgeon orders
- Prepare and present surgical quotes for prospective patients
- Complete knowledge of all services
- Familiarity with all surgeon policies, procedures, and treatment protocols
- Liaison between the physician and the office – supporting and keeping the surgeon informed
- Assist with other duties and projects as assigned by surgeon/management
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Experience working as a Patient Coordinator in any healthcare sector is generally a requirement for this position.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent customer service and phone skills along with the ability to provide patients with a supportive, caring environment.
- Effective communication represented by good grammar and a clear speaking voice are needed as well as maintaining a professional appearance.
- Good computer skills are required along with the ability to multitask and manage attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology including cosmetic surgery procedures is essential. Knowledge of one or more languages can be important.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
