Dispatcher

Job Purpose: Effectively and efficiently communicate with our fleet of truck drivers via 2-way radio/GPS Messaging on Tablets/phone; Convey daily dispatch information each afternoon/morning at latest for upcoming day (throughout current day as needs change), and monitor GPS/radio throughout the day to guide, supervise, and aid drivers as needed.

· Prioritize situations as they arise to handle them in an appropriate time and manner

· Maintain communication with all drivers throughout the day to ensure correct and timely deliveries

· Communicate with Shop Manager for real time maintenance and repair schedules

· Confer with customers to address and schedule requests for service

· Prepare/distribute/display daily work schedules for drivers

· Perform daily Audit of previous days tickets, verify, organize, and prepare for billing department utilizing systems available to do so.

· Determine type and amount of equipment needed to perform requested work

· Advise drivers throughout the day of any known traffic problems, weather conditions, or other jobsite or roadway hazards

· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing assigned tasks in a timely manner and offering additional assistance when/where needed

· Early morning hours required daily

· Long hours required often

· Review/Process/Onboard applications for new drivers & actively recruit new drivers.

Skills/Qualifications:

· Demonstrate excellent Verbal Communication over the 2-way radio, GPS, & phone

· Ability to listen, speak plainly and multitask

· Organization, and Attention to Detail

· Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

· Proficient with Samsara GPS &/or similar GPS tracking/reporting systems

· Display Professionalism, Customer Focus, and Decision Making skills

· Think/react quickly on your feet to handle all circumstances including emergency situations

• Previous experience dispatching Dump trucks and or Dump trailers is preferred

• 1 year experience with Dispatching Dump trucks and/or trailers (preferred)
• Military Logistics experience will be considered as well
