Blue Max Trucking has been in business for 40 years and has become the largest dump trucking company in the Southeast specializing in hauling of all bulk construction materials. Summary Position Description
The Division Manager is critical to the development and progression of Blue Max Trucking in Savannah. This role will be responsible for all aspects of the division which includes, human resources, driver management, dispatch, and operations management. We are looking for someone who has experience managing drivers, along with safety and weekly operational aspects of billing/invoicing for hauls performed. Must be a team player who wears many hats and is able to Multitask.

2. DOT/FMCSA rules and regulations a plus, and transportation safety experience.

Technical Requirements:
1. Microsoft office, Mobile Devices, and general computer knowledge.
2. Samsara or similar truck GPS / camera web-based systems.
3. We work with Tablets daily and are vital to our operation.
Essential Functions /Duties Performed Regularly:
1. Monitors existing processes and policies to improve efficiency.
2. Strategizes to improve productivity.
3. Oversees schedules and disciplines drivers.
4. Produces and analyzes reports as needed.
5. Oversees daily dispatch planning.
6. Makes difficult, fast, and effective decisions.
7. Leads staff to ensure satisfactory levels or service, communication, documentation, and accurate invoicing to customers.
8. Collaborates with HR department on driver recruiting, driver orientation, driver retention, etc.
9. Performs all other duties or projects as assigned.
Safety to Self and Others:
- Providing a safe and secure office environment for employees, customers, and visitors is an important priority.
- Part of our Company Safety team.
- Weekly tailgate talks with employees on topics that are assigned.
- Helping with All Safety functions which include Ride Alongs and Accident Investigations.
- Making sure everyone adheres to our Dress Code and PPE requirements (Employee Handbook in General).
Working Conditions/Hazards:
On occasion you will spend time in the field or at jobsites with vibrators, heavy equipment, and other items that can make consistent and/or loud noises. While doing projects that support operations, you will be subjected to potential environmental conditions such as heat, rain, mud, and dust.
