Director of Business Development

Position Overview: We are looking for an organized, extroverted self-starter with 4 years of business development experience in the financial services sector, particularly with middle market investment banks and private equity firms. This role emphasizes relationship building, strong time management skills, and requires 30-50% travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies targeting investment banks and private equity clients.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Market Research: Conduct thorough analyses to identify opportunities and trends within the investment banking and private equity sectors.
• Sales Leadership: Drive sales efforts to achieve revenue targets by effectively communicating our value proposition.
• Partnership Development: Identify and establish strategic partnerships to enhance market position and drive growth.
• Client Engagement: Proactively manage client relationships to ensure high satisfaction and address needs.
• Collaboration: Work with internal teams, including marketing and operations, to align business development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Experience: 4-5 years in business development/sales within financial services, especially investment banking or private equity.
• Skills: Strong network in the industry, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and proven sales success.
• Attributes: Highly organized, strategic thinker, with strong time management skills and interpersonal effectiveness.

THE PACKAGE

The salary range for this position also includes variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and commission incentives. Individual pay will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and education. While the range listed reflects the target compensation for new hires, we may exercise flexibility to accommodate exceptional qualifications or circumstances.
