This role is part of the Safety, Quality, & Mission Assurance team. This team is focused on monitoring and assessing processes that guide Blue Origin design, manufacture, and operations, ensuring system safety engineering, environmental health and safety, product integrity and continuous improvement processes serve the Blue Origin Mission and Vision.
As part of a diverse and hardworking team of Quality employees, you will lead and manage employees, ensuring they have the tools and support to: review and improve work orders for completeness, coach and mentor manufacturing on Quality requirements, develop and approve first article inspections, review and approve nonconformances and determine impact to production, lead the selection and execution of continuous improvement activities (root cause analyses), develop site-to-site work plans and work transfers, lead and/or support Corrective Action Boards, and lead and/or support Quality Reviews, such as pre-ship, pedigree, and hardware acceptance reviews.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting Quality Assurance business objectives
- Focus on preparing budgets, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions, when required.
- You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of the manufacturing and launch of New Glenn hardware.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience leading/managing teams to support quality management systems
- Quality assurance experience in production environment.
- Strong experience in leadership, planning, and project management
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs
- Ability to support manufacturing schedules for first and/or second shift operations throughout the week
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 years in a Quality Management capacity
- Aerospace, space launch, military or commercial aviation experience
- Relevant experience in a start-up environment, transitioning a product from development, through production to operations
- Quality Management System audit experience
- Relevant experience in AS9145, Advance Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process
- Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities (SPC)
- Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt, or comparable Certification
