Blue Skies Pet Care, LLC is a locally owned and operated, professional pet care provider that has been in business since 2010. With our goal to provide quality, reliable service for our clients and their pets always in mind, we are currently seeking to hire a dependable, honest and hard-working animal lover to work as a dog walker/pet sitter.

- Hours can vary, and your schedule may change week to week with short notice from clients.
- Kansas weather, which includes heat and occasional afternoon thunderstorms, means you'll be working outdoors in various conditions.
- Since we visit clients' homes, you'll need to rely on your own vehicle for each pet sitting or dog walking assignment.
Our after-school and weekend shifts are perfect for adults looking for an enjoyable part-time job that compliments school year schedules. More shifts and visits are available when the kids are out of school (travel season)!
We are specifically in need of additional team members with availability on weekends. Additional shifts are available!
This position is paid per-visit, plus tips, mileage, bonuses.
Our team members are protected employees (W2), not independent contractors (1099).
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pet Sitting: Visit pets to care for their needs while families are out of town.
- Dog Walking: Visit pets to walk dogs while families are at work, school, etc.
- Poop Scooping: Clean client's yards.
This is an active position, requiring zeal - even when it's rainy or hot or snowy. You must also be 100% reliable - pets are relying on you for love, food, medication, potty breaks, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must live in Harvey County, KS, preferably within Newton, North Newton, or Hesston.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have consistent access to an insured and reliable vehicle
- Must have a smart phone with data plan
- Must love and be knowledgeable about both dogs and cats
- Must be punctual, responsible, and organized. Repeated tardiness or lack of attendance is not tolerated, as we are working with live animals.
- Must be flexible and have good time management skills. Ability to work with limited supervision is a must
- Must be able to provide two work references
- Must be willing to make a commitment to work at least 12 months for the company
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- May work in area with high noise level and odors. Physical requirements for the position include standing, walking, lifting (50lbs), carrying (50lbs), pushing (50lbs), pulling (50lbs), climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching overhead, handing, seeing, depth perception, and color vision.
