What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT , Technical Support CCTV position at Blue Star Distributors?
- Provide valuable technical assistance for enhancing the functionality of a CCTV system.
- Should know how to use Team Viewer or other remote connectivity software.
- Reset and setup DVR’s and NVR’s remotely.
- Link DVR’s and NVR’s to Network.
- Install remote apps on phones.
- Configure IP Cameras ONVIF.
- Resolving technical problems spanning various platforms and technologies (Surveillance Hardware / Software (Mobile and Desktop), TCP/IP Networking, Customer Provided Routers.
- Troubleshooting and/or establishing LAN / WAN connections to our products
- Install and configure our computer software and mobile applications
- Continuously learn updated industry and product knowledge regarding best practices and latest technologies
- Take incoming and outbound support calls to assist installers with configuring our product or troubleshooting.
- Answer customer emails and maintain correspondence through sustaining support issues
- Create returns authorization tickets.
Education/ Experience:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
