The Health Plan Quality Improvement Solutions team is looking for a talented Healthcare Data consultant who understands how to use data to tell a story to non-technical audiences using business intelligence tools and presentations. In this fully remote role, you’ll participate in quality improvement conversations with business partners across the company and provide data-driven insights that improve the health outcomes and satisfaction of our Medicare members in Tennessee.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with internal customers to define business needs, issues, and translate ideas into effective strategies and action plans for various types of business owners across the company
- Establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the corporation to support department, division and BCBST corporate goals and objectives
- Work independently to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines among multiple concurrent projects, project teams, and or management staff.
- Develop strategies and lead discussions about analytics and reporting to proactively solve business needs. Lead and cross train other team members as needed.
Job Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree OR Master's/PhD with 4 years of work experience
Experience
- 6 years - Reporting, data analysis, or similar experience required.
Skills\Certifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
- Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Strong analytical skills with understanding of basic statistics and algebra required
Experience with SQL (ex: SAS programming, Python or other SQL tools) and dashboard development (ex: Tableau, Microsoft Power Bi) is preferred
