Job Summary
The job of Manager of Theater Programs is to provide administration for the daily operations of the Historic Granada Theater and Raleigh Street Cinemas and any programming that takes place within the theaters. Reports to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities
- Supervises all theater staff to ensure the highest standards of hospitality and customer service
- Works with the Assistant Theater Manager to manage all staff schedules on a weekly basis
- Assist Executive Director in payroll processing and distribution for theater employees
- Operate the projection of films as necessary
- Manage the lighting, sound, and technical aspects of films and other events within the theater
- Assist executive director in leading staff meetings with theater staff
- General human resources duties with theater staff including hiring and any necessary disciplinary action, including termination, as necessary
- Advise the Executive Director on film selection for booking based on sales data
- Assist the Executive Director with data entry into ticketing and booking software duties as necessary
- Report any security, legal, or other issues promptly to the Executive Director
- Respond to customer service requests by phone, email, or Facebook Messenger and forward communications to Executive Director as necessary
- Assist Executive Director and other theater staff in marketing and advertising for films and other theater events
- Responsible for nightly cash management and bank deposits for theater transactions
- Manage rental requests for theater spaces
- Communicate with area educators to promote and schedule education program activities
- Lead education program activities including student tours and film screenings
- Conduct theater tours as necessary
Requirements
- 30 hours/week including evening and weekend hours as needed in alignment with film or event schedules
- A background in hospitality, customer service, human resources, or business management is recommended
