Technical Service Manager
We are now looking for a Technical Service Manager to join our Lab in Chicago, Illinois. Technical Support is key in this role at Bluefors, since we give our customers the best possible support when working with our systems. Your task will be to communicate closely with our customers, providing timely and accurate technical assistance related to the Bluefors cryostat system and its operation. In addition, you will cooperate with the different in-house departments (production, R&D, planning etc.) as well as with the suppliers. You will have an interesting, versatile role at our customer interface in which you will succeed with a positive, service-minded attitude, systematic way of working and excellent people skills. We expect you to have a degree in applied physics or engineering, or any other technical background and 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Experience in ERP and/or CRM system usage is seen as an advantage as well as experience in using Dilution Refrigerators and knowledge of technical drawings. These skills would help you in your daily work, but naturally you will be getting a full introduction, to be successful in this position.

Main responsibilities:
- Manage Bluefors Lab technical operations to ensure customer satisfaction
- Technical sales support to meet customer's requirement with Bluefors Lab offering
- Business Development of Lab service concept
- Networking with Quantum technology companies and research & development groups
- Leading and developing daily operations in compliance with Bluefors processes
- Responsible for Bluefors Chicago Lab business operations and Quality, Environment, Health and Safety matters
What we expect from you
- MS or PhD degree in Physics: knowledge of quantum technology
- Evidence of strong technical skills as evidenced by successful paper, project or internship
- Ability to work in the United States
- Ability to travel and represent Bluefors in relevant events
- Assist users with optimizing cryogenic measurement setups
- Act as expert consultant while end-users setup and execute measurements
- Continuously improve lab infrastructure
- 1-2 years' experience executing measurements in a Bluefors system
- Experimental knowledge of at least one mK measurement application: (1) superconducting quantum circuits, (2) quantum dots, (3) ultralow temperature detectors, other closely related field using mK cryogenics
- Fluency in English

The base salary range is $100-$130K.
