Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Team Manager Industrial Engineering to join our team at BlueOval SK Battery Park in Glendale, Kentucky.
This is a unique opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up.
About the Job:
- Lead Industrial Engineers and support production to develop productivity proposals (rebalances, OLT reduction, throughput improvements)
- Lead work station set up, ergonomics improvement and problem solving through Industrial Engineer (IE) actions
- Implement engineering changes that affect the work station and allocations.
- Supervise/coach IEs with time study schedules (e.g., MODAPTS)
- Lead headcount cost savings projects
- Supervise monthly tracking of progress in VPOS
- Lead cycle line layout
- Supervise planning for mix and line speed changes
- Lead/manage departmental rolls analysis for weekly manpower meeting to ensure proper labor staffing and strategy
- Lead future model labor development (design, cycle line layouts, future model allocations)
- Serve as resource for plant IE training/assistance
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and engagement
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and implement new equipment and processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering or a related field
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
