What You'll Be Doing
- Directly supervise quality employees, coordinating the inspection and testing activities as components and subassemblies move through the assembly process.
- Review quality assurance instructions, assembly specifications, and production schedules to determine inspection methods, testing sequences, and work assignments.
- Lead quality assurance inspections and testing to ensure compliance with established and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with management and engineering teams to resolve quality-related challenges.
- Interpret and enforce quality procedures plant-wide and conduct training sessions for personnel.
- Motivate and develop team members, encouraging them to take on more responsibility and excel in their roles.
- Troubleshoot quality issues and create comprehensive solutions.
- Implement and coordinate effective quality processes and systems.
- Manage quality processes specific to product lines, focusing on consistency, cost reduction, process improvement, and maximizing equipment capabilities.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the quality of materials handled by Lear Wentzville.
- Coordinate shift activities and work with off-shift supervisors for seamless operations.
- Supervise laboratory personnel, ensuring adherence to testing procedures and regulatory standards.
- Prepare technical reports, detailing work volume, procedures, and test results.
- Develop work schedules and assign daily tasks to maintain adequate staffing levels.
- Support customers by managing yard repairs and addressing any issues promptly.
- Apply continuous improvement and cost reduction strategies in all job functions.
