We strive to create lasting, positive change for our customers and communities. As a Banking Relationship Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with Partners
  • You will collaborate with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities that enhance the customer relationship beyond personal banking.

  • Welcoming and Guiding Customers
  • You will welcome and guide customers in the branch lobby, offering advice and guidance on digital and self-serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast.

  • Conducting Client Conversations
  • You will conduct client conversations about banking services, recommending alternative channels and providing personal banking and investment advice.

  • Reviewing Customer Profiles
  • You will review customer profiles and engage in needs-based conversations to identify potential opportunities and address everyday banking plans and credit card needs.

  • Supporting Operational Activities
  • You will support operational activities, including inventory management, escalated service requests, and following up on customer applications.

  • Providing Strategic Advice
  • You will probe to understand customer personal banking and credit card needs, integrating marketing promotions and programs into conversations to provide strategic advice.

  • Taking Initiative
  • You will take initiative to find creative approaches that make each customer experience feel personal.

Requirements:

  • Experience and Certification
  • Typically 1-2 years of relevant experience or certification in a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience is also desirable.

  • Registration to Sell Investment Products
  • Registration to sell investment products is completed or in progress, as required for the jurisdiction.

  • Proficiency in Digital Tools
  • Confident and experienced in using social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.

  • Knowledge of Sales and Business Banking Solutions
  • Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions to refer to specialists.
