Job Description & Summary

BMSS, LLC is looking for a client-focused leader who values cultivating relationships internally and externally to join our financial due diligence and transaction advisory services team. BMSS was established in Birmingham in 1991 and has grown to become a top 100 advisory and CPA firm in the U.S. We have five locations in Alabama (Hoover, Downtown Birmingham, Gadsden, Huntsville, Mobile) as well as one in Mississippi (Ridgeland). This role can be based out of any of our locations.

What you will be doing:

You will be responsible for providing transaction advisory services to clients on both the buy-side and sale-side of transactions. Relationships are a critical cornerstone at BMSS, and this role will be responsible for creating and cultivating relationships internally among the team and externally with the client.

Responsibilities:

• Perform financial due diligence and quality of earnings analysis for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions
• Work in teams to consult with clients and their advisors throughout the transaction cycle
• Assist with post transaction integration services

Skills needed to be successful:

• 3 years' experience in audit or relevant industry experience. This includes professionals with a background in investment banking, private equity, etc.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and GAAS
• Must have at least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college/university
• Knowledge of a variety of software packages with proficiency in MS Excel
• Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
