The Accountant is responsible for all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making within the manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, and the ability to lead and improve financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Develop financial forecasts and update regularly based on actual performance, industry trends, and market conditions.
- Monitor budget adherence and provide variance analysis to management.
- Manage and analyze manufacturing cost accounting, including standard cost setting, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Work closely with the procurement team to track expenditures and ensure proper authorization for purchase orders.
- Monitor vendor contracts and ensure timely payments, while maintaining accurate records of all purchasing activities.
- Oversee and manage payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Ensure timely payroll distribution and manage payroll-related reporting, including tax filings and employee benefit deductions.
- Collaborate with HR to maintain accurate employee records and address any payroll discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, raw materials, and finished goods, ensuring proper valuation and costing methods are applied.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments.
- Recommend strategies for optimizing cash flow and working capital.
- Ensuring compliance with local accounting standards (GAAP).
- Oversee audits, both internal and external, and ensure all financial records are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments, including operations, procurement, and sales, to support company-wide initiatives and financial planning.
- Work closely with the General Manager (GM) on various financial and operational tasks, including special projects, reporting, and decision support.
- Assist the GM with ad-hoc analysis, operational performance reviews, and financial reporting tailored to support key business initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting or financial management experience, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Experience in QuickBooks
- Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
