Position Summary:
The Regional Development Director (RDD) is responsible for managing and driving the growth and development of assigned BNI regions. This position will be based out of and handle our West territories. The RDD reports to the Senior Director of Regional Development and works directly with Area Directors, Director Consultants, and Launch Directors to identify opportunities to establish new Chapters and grow existing Chapters. This position ensures that regional goals align with BNI’s overall strategy. The RDD will work with leaders that support the growth initiatives in the US.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Regional Strategy Execution
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Regional Strategy Execution
- Develop and execute regional growth strategies that align with BNI’s goals.
- Support growth initiatives in assigned regions and regions in need of assistance.
- Lead growth initiatives, including prospecting, membership presentations, and related training efforts for BNI.
- Identify strategic partners to enhance regional growth.
- Oversee the operational performance of regional launch teams, ensuring consistent and efficient service.
- Work closely with other team leaders to optimize resources, training, and support to increase operational efficiency and maintain high standards of Member support.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to monitor KPIs, establish goals, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure all activities are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
- Ensure high levels of Member satisfaction and support through effective service and problem resolution.
- Lead, monitor, and develop a high-performance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and results-driven performance.
- Provide clear communication of goals, roles, and expectations.
- Support talent recruitment, retention, and development to build leadership pipelines and ensure alignment with BNI’s goals.
- Mentor and guide directors to ensure professional development and high-performing work culture.
- Lead team training, if needed.
- Any additional duties needed to help demonstrate our core values, drive our vision, and fulfill our mission.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in regional or business development roles.
- Proven success in driving market expansion.
- Experience in leading high-performing teams.
- Excellent speaking, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Strong understanding of performance management principles.
- Self-starter with outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
- Experience dealing with conflict and problem-solving.
- 3 Years as a BNI Director.
- Demonstrated ability to launch Chapters.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit and develop launch teams.
- Experience managing teams in membership organizations.
