What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel General Manager position at Boarders Inn & Suites?
The General manager is responsible for all aspects of operations at a 37 room hotel, day-to-day staff management and guests. He/She should be an ambassador for the brand and the hotel. Provide leadership to all departments in support of our service culture, maximized operations and guest satisfaction. Work Very closely with the hotel owner.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned and highly professional with outstanding, management skills and extensive hands-on experience. Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights. Would have a regular 40 hour schedule at the front desk and housekeeping.
Willing to take work phone calls when not at the hotel, willing to cover shifts in emergency situations.
Hotel experience would be ideal, but willing to train the right person for this position.
This person must have excellent customer service skills, be a good decision maker, professional and professional looking, trustworthy, honest, fast learner, have a good eye for details, great communicator, Work well with the entire staff, organized, help the business grow, community involvement, and be serious about this position.
This position would be hourly during the 2 month probation/training period and then would convert to salary. Wages depend on experience.
