BoaVida is a national operator of Manufactured Home and RV Communities based in Sacramento. Our portfolio of 250 properties is concentrated in California, but our locations span from coast to coast. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Human Resources Specialist to join our team of over 500 associates to manage and implement various human resources programs. Duties:
- Administer and enforce the implementation of HR strategies, programs, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of Federal and State labor laws to ensure compliance with all HR related legal and regulatory requirements and administer changes as needed.
- Maintain OSHA policies and compliance.
- Execute employee relations duties, staff communication, performance improvement plans.
- Coach Regional Managers in effective personnel management practices.
- Maintain employee files.
- Assist with benefit administration (dental and vision).
- Manage Workers’ Compensation, Unemployment, and Disability claims for multiple states.
- Administer new hire onboarding and off boarding of employees.
- Responsible for all recruiting efforts to include job descriptions, posting jobs, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, background checks and drug screenings.
- Government reporting, such as EEO, CA Pay data, etc.
- Identify, design, and update HR related training.
- Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing.
Required Skills:
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all personnel matters.
- Solid understanding of payroll best practices
- Must be an efficient and effective problem solver.
- Must possess excellent, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with payroll software are a plus.
- Utilize solid working knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office Suite of software applications.
Experience:
A related degree or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources in a company with over 100 California employees.
