The Shipping and Fulfillment Specialist plays a crucial role in optimizing daily operations within the fulfillment area. This position involves overseeing the shipment of goods to various destinations and responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the seamless flow of logistics and enhancing customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Process shipments by coordinating with carriers, scheduling pickups, preparing shipping documents, and arranging transportation to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Assist Packaging team with packaging and labeling products for shipment.
• Execute inventory transactions in the ERP system related to shipping activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping, to ensure accurate inventory records.
• Report all safety, inventory, and quality issues to supervisor
• Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs documentation, to ensure compliance with regulations and accuracy of information.
• Verify parts and materials, check for damage, correct part numbers
• Maintain open communication channels with sales and fulfillment team members to ensure alignment on order status, shipment priorities, and customer expectations.
• Stay informed about relevant shipping regulations, tariffs, and customs requirements, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Identify and resolve shipping-related problems or issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, in a timely and efficient manner.
SKILLS:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, including sales and fulfillment team members.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed
• Visual acuity to accurately identify product colors against reference color charts, and to evaluate product quality using a jeweler’s eye loupe
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management, with demonstrated achievement and expanded responsibility.
• Proficiency in using shipping software and systems, such as UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and international trade requirements preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite experience preferred and proficiency in executing inventory transactions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Prolonged periods or walking, standing and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds if needed.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.
• Must be able to safely access and navigate the production areas.
• Regularly utilizes depth perception, peripheral vision, close focus and color identification.
