Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a part-time weekend Entry-Level Security Operations Center Specialist to support our business in Sacramento, CA . The selected candidate will ensure the safety and security of our facility in Sacramento, California. Attention to detail is a key skill for this position. As a member of a 24/7 team, you will be responsible for detecting, monitoring, and reporting security risks that impact our people, property, product, and information. Position Responsibilities: * Monitor and control physical access to the facility
* Issue access cards to employees and visitors
* Conducts physical inspection of the facility on foot
* Respond to alarms and investigate the root cause
* Troubleshoot to resolve system issues that may arise
* Notify managers and coworkers in case of emergency
* Interact with law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical services This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph Pre-Start is required. Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): * 2 years' experience with Microsoft Word * Problem solving and critical thinking skills * Time management skills * Must meet physical requirements of the job: climbing ladders, stairs, lifting up to 35 pounds or 16 kilograms, lifting arm(s) above head height, and quickly moving to different areas of the building at a brisk walking pace with or without an assistive mobility device Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): * Experience with monitoring facility alarms, CCTV, and fire alarms systems * Experience record keeping and journaling data * Ability to read and interpret maps and building floor plans Typical Education/Experience: Education and experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. university, community college, or technical college) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years' related work experience) will be considered for this position. Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
