Position Summary: The Marketing Coordinator/Business Development Assistant will be responsible for marketing strategies and analysis, enhance brand awareness, developing relationships with key clients, and assisting in selling construction services. This role requires a dynamic, highly organized individual with a strong understanding of the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy and Execution:
- Assist in the development and implementation of a strategic marketing plan to increase company visibility, brand awareness, and market share
- Responsible for digital marketing, website content management, SEO, and social media
- Create, manage, and update marketing brochures, presentations, project information sheets, advertising, resumes, promotional items, and inquiries
- Assist in the preparation of proposals
- Manage the production and submission of award applications.
- Assist in coordinating and planning company events
Business Development and Client Acquisition:
- Build and maintain new and existing relationships with key clients, including engineers, industry professionals, and procurement teams
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for federal, state, and municipal contracts
- Utilize CRM system for business opportunities, contacts, events, and logging of meeting notes to assist in organizing a strong industry network
- Assist in post-project surveys and develop analytics to be used in marketing plans
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company
- Work with all divisions of the company to ensure alignment of marketing and business development strategies in line with overall company values and goals
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, construction management, or a related field
· A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in producing proposals, marketing/sales literature or other materials in the construction or engineering field
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (In Design)
· Knowledge of Salesforce CRM Software and Procore
· Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to create presentations and marketing materials
· Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
· Ability to work independently and interact with a team at all levels of staff with strong customer service attention
· Proven ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
· Capable of travel as required
