What are the responsibilities and job description for the BARTENDER- GROVE EVENTS position at Bohemian Club?
The Bohemian Grove is situated on 2,700 acres of towering redwood forest in the lower Russian River Valley in Sonoma County. For more than 150 years Club members and their guests have ventured to the Grove to enjoy and partake in the arts, music, literature and drama as well as nature walks and fine dining.

- Spring Jinks - Monday, June 9th - Sunday, June 15th
- Spring Picnic - June 28
- Encampment - Monday, July 7th - Friday, August 1st
SUMMER SEASONAL BARTENDER
DUTIES
- Prepare/serve mixed drinks, pour wine and beer to match member's specific needs and requests.
- Wash glassware, utensils and bar equipment after each use.
- Collect payment and operate a Point of Sale (POS) System.
- Serve food to members during lunch and dinnertime.
- Determine when a member has had too much alcohol and inform management.
- Clean up member areas and work area- remove trash, sweep, mop, dust, etc.
- Prepare garnishing for mixed drinks- slice and pit fruit
- Restocking bar needs- condiments, glassware, liquor, beer kegs, etc.
- Maintain a professional and demeanor and appearance at all time
QUALIFICATIONS
- 21 years or older.
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry a tray weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to communicate in English (listening, understanding and responding) with Members/guests/co-workers in a loud, fast paced environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry a tray for long periods of time.
- Successful completion of a criminal background
OTHER
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Club. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Bohemian Club rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the Club’s facilities. Employees who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
