Boka Restaurant Group and the Chicago Athletic Association are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Line Cooks and Prep Cooks to join their kitchen team!
These Line and Prep Cook positions require a strong work ethic, teamwork, and a passion for culinary excellence. The ideal candidates for these roles will have previous experience in a high-volume kitchen setting. Candidates should be skilled in working various kitchen stations, including sauté, grill, deep fry, and garde manger. These roles will involve executing food preparation, ensuring quality and safety, and maintaining kitchen efficiency.

Line Cook & Prep Cook Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation and execution on the line.
- Prepare ingredients, follow recipes, and ensure consistency in food quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while following kitchen protocols.
- Ensure safe food handling procedures are followed at all times.
- Follow direction from kitchen leadership, including Sous Chefs and Executive Chefs.
- Accurately read and execute prep lists.
- Assist with inventory management and proper food storage.
- Uphold company policies, including uniform and grooming standards.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure smooth service.
Qualifications:
- Hardworking and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
- Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen preferred.
- Food handlers' certification (or willingness to obtain one).
- Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays.
- Ability to multitask and stay focused under pressure.

Physical Requirements:
- Lift and move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Safely and effectively use all necessary tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
- Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the kitchen, which may include stairs, uneven, and/or slick surfaces.
- Ability to work in both hot and cold environments.
