ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION :
Established in 1970, Boley Centers, Inc., is a private, non-profit organization serving individuals with mental disabilities, individuals and families who are homeless, Veterans and youth in Pinellas County.

JOB SUMMARY :
Handles the month end close procedures including recording journal entries, balancing accounts payable and account receivables, reconciling bank accounts, preparing reconciliation workpapers, assisting in audits and completing reports.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Responsible for ensuring all monthly journal entries are recorded and with accuracy.
- Responsible for monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts; including cash accounts, accounts receivables, accounts payables, prepaid accounts, fixed assets, and accrued liability accounts.
- Prepares various required reports, monthly, quarterly and annually.
- Assists with reviewing payroll entries for accuracy and year end reconciliations.
- Maintains and controls fixed assets.
- Prepares cash deposits as needed
- Responsible for issuing client program disbursements
- Assists in preparation of annual budgets.
- Prepares audit schedules and year end confirmation letters.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Education must be from an accredited school, college, or university.
Minimum two years with preferred degree. Excel or other computer spreadsheet experience preferred.
Knowledge of computer operations, spreadsheet applications, standard accounting practices preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Good skills and demonstrated abilities in computer operations, math, data entry, operating calculator, organization, analysis, initiative, self-management, attention-to-detail, interpersonal relations, and such others that are usually and customarily considered necessary for satisfactory completion of essential duties.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
Must have valid driver's license
Must pass a level II background and drug screen
