What are the responsibilities and job description for the Naval Architect position at Bollinger Shipyards?
The ideal candidate must possess a B.S. degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering with a minimum of (5) five years of experience in new vessel design development for marine crafts such as patrol vessels, windfarm support vessels, offshore supply vessels, tugs, and barges. Proficiency with structural design and stability analysis are a must. Familiarity with auxiliary systems design is desirable. Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must in addition to familiarity with ABS, CFR, USCG, SOLAS, IMO and other applicable regulations.
Experience with AutoCAD, FEA, GHS, Rhino software is desirable.
Must be able to balance schedule and work on multiple projects in addition to working within a fast-paced environment.
