Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing/Registered Nurse Assessment Coordinator to lead our nursing team and oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and assessment skills and a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, particularly in areas of skilled nursing. This role requires a commitment to maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare standards, while fostering a collaborative environment for both staff and patients.
Duties
- Conduct and Coordinate the Development and Completion of Resident Assessments (MDS) in Accordance with Current Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines
- Maintain and Periodically Update Written Policies and Procedures Governing the Development, Use, and Implementation of Resident Assessments (MDS) and Care Plans
- Participate in Facility Surveys Made by Authorized Government Agencies
- Evaluate Each Resident's Condition and Pertinent Medical Data to Determine Needs
- Develop and Implement Procedures with the Director of Nursing (DON)
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to medical records, Medicare, and HIPAA.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance patient care quality and safety.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement improvements based on data analysis and feedback.
- Provide guidance on clinical practices, ensuring adherence to established standards of care.
- Stay updated on advancements in nursing practices and healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required;
- Extensive knowledge of Skilled Nursing Regulations preferred.
- Managed Care and Bundled Payment Knowledge preferred
- PDPM and MDS Experience Preferred
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
