Your Responsibilities
- Ensure safety compliance standards are met by understanding and enforcing safety compliance.
- Plans preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoots problems with processes and hardware.
- Coordinates with others in order to determine problems and implement solutions.
- Provides technical assistance as needed by internal customers.
- Manages relations with vendors.
- Defines performance metrics.
- System design: Optimizing the layout, design, and placement of devices and equipment.
- System testing: Testing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
- System programming: Setting up, programming, and modifying electrical controls, circuitry, and equipment.
- System maintenance: Maintaining existing controls and ensuring they work safely and efficiently.
- System support: Providing technical support and instruction to organization members.
- System installation: Providing support for system installation and on-site start-up and debugging.
- System improvement: Evaluating performance and proposing and implementing improvements to increase production efficiency.
- Generate project requests (Capital & Major Expense), specify components, create, modify and update electrical drawings, compile bills of material and prepare process control/ standard work descriptions.
- All other duties assigned.
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering. (Can be working towards, but must have acceptable completion time).
- 3-5 years of proven experience in controls programming and engineering.
- 3 years Auto-CAD/ drawing experience.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proven history of innovative solutions and successful projects.
- Ability to determine customer needs to develop project specifications and scope, customer oriented.
- Ability to interpret and implement specifications.
- Aluminum extrusion experience.
- Continuous Improvement experience.
- Programming knowledge of Rockwell/ Allen Bradley automation products CompactLogix, ControlLogix, FactoryTalk, Logix5000 Ethernet/ IP communications.
