Starting Salary: Pay Grade 10 - starting salary $18.05 per hour

Work Hours: 40 hours a week

General Purpose


Perform a variety of working level complex clerical, secretarial and administrative duties designed to support the operations of Wood Court


Supervision Received


Work under the supervision of the Wood Court Coordinator.


Supervision Exercised


None.


Essential Functions


Provide administrative, clerical and secretarial support services for the Wood Court Coordinator and assigned personnel; receive phone calls, correspondence and visitors and respond to requests for information or directs them to the appropriate personnel; schedule appointments; make travel arrangements; maintain calendars and keep staff informed of schedules; compose and transcribe or type various letters, memos, reports and other correspondence as required; maintain detailed records of all program activities; attend meetings and make record of all meeting activity.


Maintain a comprehensive file and record keeping system; enter and maintain records for staff and clients assigned to the project; update files to show status and disposition of records and information; retrieve and provide information for staff and other agencies as requested; coordinate exchanges of information with other departments and agencies as required.


Perform general accounting and bookkeeping functions related to the program activities; process and maintain records of all program receipts and expenditures; prepare and submit claims for payment; ensure compliance with County financial record keeping requirements; prepare and submit various reports as required by the County and other agencies; assist with preparation of project budgets.


Perform data entry and assist with maintaining the 7th Judicial District Treatment Court applicant database. Process all incoming problem-solving court applications for referring out to appropriate problem-solving court and assist in providing updates and application status to the courts.


Ability to maintain regular, reliable patterns in work product and attendance according to Bonneville County's expectations.


Perform other job-related duties as assigned or required.


Minimum Qualification


1. Education and Experience:


A. Graduation from high school with course background in the fields of bookkeeping, accounting, and general office practices, plus one (1) year of post high school training in bookkeeping, accounting, general office practices or a related field,

AND

B. Three (3) years of experience performing the above or related duties.

OR

C. An equivalent combination of Education and Experience.


2. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


Working knowledge of general office management practices and procedures of the division; basic bookkeeping and accounting methods; Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook software; computer information management and record keeping systems


Skill in interpersonal communications, time management, and guided problem solving.


Ability to develop effective working relationships with co-workers, department heads and wide variety of professional, judicial, law enforcement and other officials; effectively support the activities of the project and coordinate them with other departments and agencies; work without immediate supervision or direction for extended periods; exercise independent judgment in prioritizing and completing assigned duties and responsibilities; perform basic mathematical computations; resolve minor personnel problems; communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; read, interpret, and apply complex rules, regulations, and instructions.


3. Special Qualifications:


Highly proficient keyboard and 10-Key skills.


4. Work Environment:


Incumbents of the position perform in a typical office setting with appropriate climate controls inside a secure jail facility and secure Work Release Center. Incumbents may have limited and controlled contact with program clients (Jail and Work Release inmates) related to accounting, financial and data collection. Tasks require a variety of physical activities, occasionally involving muscular strain, such as walking, standing, stretching, stooping, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing and seeing. Rapid work speed required to perform keyboard operations. Common eye, hand, finger, leg and foot dexterity exist for many elements of the job. Mental application utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, critical thinking and guided problem solving. Some area travel may be required. The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.


Must be able to push/pull/lift a minimum of twenty-five (25) lbs.
