What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Assistant position at Bonnie Brae?
Bonnie Brae, a Special Education School and Residential Treatment Program that utilizes a trauma-informed approach in working with youth and their families, located in Liberty Corner, New Jersey, has a great opportunity for a Part Time, 24 hours per week, Human Resources Assistant. The Human Resources Assistant handles sensitive information and maintains confidentiality in the performance of their duties. This position is responsible for assembling new hire files, new hire orientation packets, training packets and updating training files on a weekly basis, as well as following up with Supervisor for any missing documentation. Maintains Human Resources employees’ files both active and terminated to ensure the appropriate documentation has been filed for each employee. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to checking criminal background checks, child abuse clearances, licensing credential verification checks, MVR checks, I9 forms and assisting with post offer reference/medical requirements follow up with new hires.
Candidate will possess the following:
Education / Skills / Abilities / Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years Human Resources Assistant experience
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Meticulous attention to detail
