Accounting Analyst

Job Summary

The Accounting Analyst supports the day-to-day operations of the accounting area by preparing journal entries, maintaining the accuracy of general ledger accounts, creating accounting reports and supporting management. They will aide with the month-end close process and monitor the requests sent to the Financial Accounting team.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Prepares and maintains accounting documents and records in an accurate and timely manner
• Prepares, processes and documents financial transactions with accurate journal entries
• Reconciles and maintains general ledger accounts
• Assists with the accurate and timely completion of the month-end close process
• Compiles financial reports monthly, quarterly, and annually for BSE management
• Assists branch/regional/department/executive managers with questions regarding financial statements and reporting
• Answers and assigns requests received by the Financial Accounting team

Non-essential Functions

• Assists with financial audits and tax returns
• Collaborates with team members and Finance teams with identifying and implementing process improvements
• Assists with special projects as assigned
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or other designate

Qualifications

• Four-year accounting, finance or business administration degree or equivalent work experience, required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar designation is preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint), Internet, Email and SAP software preferred

• Excellent customer service skills include being competent, accurate, responsive and engage
